Pineapples Thai Kitchen, located in Charlottesville, VA, is a delightful escape for Thai cuisine enthusiasts. This charming eatery has received rave reviews from customers who rave about the flavors and freshness of their dishes. The standout item seems to be the pad see ew, described as the best some have ever tasted. Diners also enjoy the curry egg noodles and the flavorful Bangkok Bay seafood, featuring a medley of shrimp, squid, and mussels in a sweet chili sauce.

The curry egg noodles was super yummy!! Everything was decent. The pineapple fried rice was not in a pineapple, unfortunately. I also tried the duck curry which I enjoyed. The service was nice but a bit slow on a Saturday early evening. Parking was easy

Hands down best pad see ew I've ever had. As I enjoyed my meal in the spacious dining room, I observed several deliveries of beautifully fresh produce. Our server was friendly and attentive as well. Try the Thai lemon tea! It is super refreshing. Can't wait to try something new next time

February 27, 2024 - Pineapples Thai Kitchen shares a building with another eating establishment . . . Walk around to the side! The industrial ambience didn’t overshadow the delicious food! 5 o’clock dining time is early for most, we had no problem with seating or service. Our server Kus, arrived quickly with menus, and explained their chef specials & “ Heat scale”! We started with Melbec & Chardonnay wine, at 9 a glass. As we sipped, our crispy spring rolls arrived. My wife ordered the Bangkok Bay seafood, which included shrimp, squid, scallops, mussels, scallions, mushrooms in sweet chili sauce. . . Excellent! I tend to favor Crispy Duck ( 25) with vegetables in a spicy sauce! The spice level was perfect . . . very tender duck with crispy crust, delicious! Closer to 6 pm, more folks joined us in the restaurant. Relaxed venue. I’d highly recommend the food, our bill was 78 with 3 glasses of . ( worth it)

TL;DR: Pineapples, Siam, and Chang is pretty much the best Thai you can get in Charlottesville. I think they may be owned by the same people. Servers are always very nice, regardless of its carryout or dine-in. The dine-in portion sizes are pretty substantial. Specific Foods: Crispy Chicken with Cashew Nut: 8.0/10 Ka Pow Krispy Chicken: 8.7/10 Red Curry: 6.8/10 (why is there pineapple in red curry? Also the base is unfortunately too watery) Drunken Noodles: 7.0/10 Special Attention: Parking can be problematic especially on peak hours. They share a parking lot with Kardinal Hall which always has a lot of patrons. General Wait Time for 1/2 dishes: Peak hours, we waited 30-50 minutes.

I would come back here just for the Thai iced tea. It was perfect! The flavor was great and it wasn't too sweet or too bitter. My friend and I got fried pork gyoza and crispy spring rolls to start and they were both really good. I got the chicken Kai Pad Ka Pow and it was delicious with the perfect level of spice. My friend got the Pad Thai with chicken and she said it was delicious as well. The service was very fast even though they were busy and friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Will come back in the future!

WONDERFUL THAI FOOD - LOVED IT - Quick lunch in Charlottesville at PINEAPPLES THAI KITCHEN exceeded expectations! Bright airy modern space, clean interior and cool outside patio serving great Thai specialities. AMBIENCE- we enjoyed lunch here sitting outside, def a popular spot! Would I take a first date here? Probs not, but definitely a 3rd or 4th date!!! FOOD - best Thai food we have had outside of Manhattan, loved everything we ordered (see pics) SERVICE - waitress was great, very prompt service, timely food delivery. Bonus points for bringing iced water as soon as we sat down thank you . WINE/BEER - well thought out drinks list with good choices for both beers and wines SUMMARY - Charlottesville has a burgeoning ethnic dining scene, but PINEAPPLES THAI is 100% worth a visit, some of our food was quite spicy, which we love, but check with the waitress prior!!!
